Wii U Sales Up 666% in UK

Mario Kart 8 has worked wonders on the Wii U in the UK, increasing sales by 666 percent (insert devilish laugh).

Mario Kart 8 was the second-best selling title for the week, behind the multiplatform title Watch Dogs, which I can only assume is a game where you are a dog and you watch things. To each their own, I suppose.

A big chunk of the Wii U sales were from the Mario Kart 8 bundle, which is a crazy good deal. You get the Deluxe Wii U, Mario Kart 8, the Mario Wii Remote, and a Mario Wii Wheel for $329. If you don't own a Wii U, you would be crazy to pass up this bundle.

The increase in sales should be no surprise to anyone except stupids. We will probably see something similar, if not more significant, around the time Super Smash Bros. releases.

I for one will continue to enjoy my Wii U and the loads of fun it has to offer, including Mario Kart 8, which is awesome. Go buy it or something.
