Iwata's Approval Rating Up

Satoru Iwata, the lovable (and newly re-elected) President of Nintendo, has seen his approval rating improve over 3% in the past year.

Iwata-san has been Nintendo's president through thick and thin. He started as president in 2002, during the Gamecube era. He led the company through the extreme prosperity of the Wii/DS and the current, somewhat slower Wii U/3DS.

I for one believe that Iwata does a good job. The Wii U and 3DS both started slow, but the 3DS has really taken off, and the Wii U is on the cusp of an amazing year of games. I'm excited to see how things pan out in the next few years.

Keep in mind that approval ratings are given by shareholders, who are often incompetent retards. For example, one shareholder admitted he knows nothing about video games, but invested in Nintendo because it's a famous name, and it was founded on the same day as he was born. Genius.

Here's to many more years with Iwata at the helm. Long live Nintendo!
